46 Indians died in the fire in Kuwait’s Al-Mangaf building. Among them, Shivshankar Singh Kushwaha, a resident of Gopalganj, Bihar, also died. Shivshankar Singh Kushwaha (45) was the son of late Ramdhari Singh, a resident of Sapahan village in Gopalpur police station area. He had been living in Kuwait for the last decade and was working as a foreman in a company. He was working in the Al-Mangaf building on the day of the accident.

With the initiative of Kuwait and Indian Government, the body was brought back to the country in a special Air Force plane. As soon as the body of Shiv Shankar Singh reached his village, hundreds of people gathered to have the last glimpse of him. His family members started crying and wailing. Akhilesh Kumar Singh, brother of the deceased’s wife, said that he had gone to Kuwait for the last time to earn money for educating his sons, where he died in a fire accident. As soon as the news of the death reached the family, there was chaos among the family members. People in the vicinity were waiting for the body of Shiv Shankar Singh to arrive.

Shivshankar Singh’s death in Kuwait has shocked the entire family. The deceased’s wife Nirmala Devi and mother Ganeshia Devi were lying unconscious. The wife fainted on seeing her husband’s body and the mother fainted on seeing her son’s body. The deceased’s two sons Mukesh Kumar and Abhishek Kumar were also drowned in the grief of losing their father. The people around were trying to console the bereaved family.
