His pickle has reached every home.

Heera Prajapat lives in Tilak Nagar of Barmer city. Today, she makes pickle of green chilli, carrot, turmeric, ginger, red chilli, garlic, lemon and ker-sangri using this indigenous recipe. Its consumption happens instantly. Along with making pickles, he is also continuing his ancestral work of making earthen utensils. On the festival of colours, she also makes herbal gulal which people like a lot.

Heera Prajapat sells her pickles at Rs 300 per kg. She has sold about 50 kg of pickles in one season. She is also making and selling Rajasthan’s native dishes Rabri and Khichiya. She says that people are slowly forgetting the taste of the dishes used years ago. She is trying to keep that test alive. Pickle is not just a food item, it is a combination of various medicinal things due to which one gets relief from many types of diseases of the body.
