Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and BJP have come face to face regarding the bail order of two accused in the liquor scam. The AAP termed the Rouse Avenue court order as a blow to the BJP-CBI-ED nexus. Minister in the Delhi Government Atishi said, it has become clear that there was no liquor scam in Delhi, neither the CBI-ED has any evidence.

Atishi said in a press conference along with minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar, the court has granted bail to Rajesh Joshi and Gautam Malhotra. The court termed the allegation of scam as fabricated. The ED in the charge sheet has talked about a bribe of only Rs 30 crore. It is clear from the order that CBI-ED does not have any evidence of corruption worth Rs.

Contempt case for misrepresenting orders: Lekhi

Countering AAP’s claim, the BJP accused the court of misrepresenting the bail order. Also, demanded a contempt of court case against the AAP leaders. Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi said, AAP government in Delhi is full of scams. You leaders are misleading by spreading lies on the bail order of the court.

They are presenting the bail order as if the court has already given its verdict. Neither of the two accused have been exonerated or acquitted, Lekhi said. AAP leaders have read out a portion of the court order. It has not even mentioned the part in which the Court has made it clear that its observation has nothing to do with the merits of the case.
