Lok Sabha Election 2024: Congress may face another big blow before the Lok Sabha elections 2024. There is a rumor that former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath is angry with the party’s high command and may join BJP. If Kamal Nath leaves Congress, he will not be the first former Chief Minister of Congress to do so. 12 leaders have done this before him.

Some leaders formed their own party while some leaders joined other parties. Maximum three former Chief Ministers in this list are from Goa. Goa’s Digambar Kamat, Ravi Naik and Luizinho Faleiro are leaders who were chief ministers in the Congress government, but later left the party. Of these, Digambar and Ravi eventually joined BJP, but Faleiro first remained in TMC and then separated from this party.

8. ND Tiwari, former CM, Uttarakhand – joins BJP
9. Ravi Naik, former CM Goa – left Congress in 2000 and joined BJP. Returned to Congress again in 2002 and again joined BJP in 2021.
10. Ghulam Nabi Azad, former CM, Jammu and Kashmir – formed his own party
11. Ajit Jogi, former Chief Minister Chhattisgarh – formed his own party
12. Luizinho Faleiro, former CM Goa – joins TMC (left TMC in 2023)
