Vaishali SP Har Kishore Rai has suspended a constable posted in Vaishali District Force. The matter is related to election violence in Saran. A video of constable Aftab Alam (number 108), posted for the security of former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, being in Saran district went viral. Vaishali SP took action after the constable was identified in that video and suspended him with immediate effect. Saran Lok Sabha elections were being held on 20 May. During this time, the constable posted as Rabri Devi’s bodyguard was seen at a polling booth with Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter. SIT was formed to investigate the election violence in Saran. SIT reached Rabri Devi’s residence during the investigation. For 45 minutes, the team matched the faces of all the bodyguards and constables with that video. After investigation, Aftab Alam (number 108) has been suspended today. Due to this, action was taken against Jitendra Kumar on Thursday, under which he was suspended. Action has been taken against two policemen in two days.
Vaishali SP took action
In this regard, Vaishali SP Har Kishore Rai said that Vaishali District Force constable Aftab Alam (108) was deputed in Patna as the bodyguard of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi. A photo/video of him being in Saran district is going viral through WhatsApp. That video and photo were investigated and found to be true. The presence of the said constable in Saran district without orders is indicative of his negligence towards duty, violation of orders and being an incompetent policeman. Constable Aftab Alam has been suspended with immediate effect on the said charge.
