UP Lok Sabha Election 2024: Lok Sabha Elections BSP is announcing the names of its candidates one by one for 2024. In this sequence, BSP has fielded its candidate from Akbarpur Lok Sabha seat. This has been announced by Naushad Ali, in-charge of BSP’s Kanpur division in Kanpur. This time BSP has given ticket to Brahmin candidate Rajesh Dwivedi from Akbarpur Lok Sabha seat.
To oust BJP from power, BSP is cooking a different kind of khichdi due to its strategy of contesting the elections alone. BSP has won the Akbarpur Lok Sabha seat by giving ticket to Brahmin candidate Rajesh Dwivedi. Rajesh Dwivedi is mainly a resident of Kanpur and has been associated with BSP for a long time. Akbarpur Lok Sabha seat came into existence after delimitation in 2004 when it was known as Bilhaur Lok Sabha seat.
BSP can spoil many equations by fielding a Brahmin candidate on this seat, because BSP has to get its votes but the Brahmin candidate will also make a dent in the Brahmin votes, Muslim and general votes from here. This bet of Mayawati on Akbarpur Lok Sabha seat may also create problems for SP-BJP. While SP has fielded its Rajaram Pal from this seat, BJP has once again given the ticket to its sitting MP Devendra Singh, trusting him again.
Mathematics of Akbarpur Lok Sabha seat
If we talk about the equation of Akbarpur Lok Sabha seat, then there are five assembly seats in this Lok Sabha, which include 5 assembly seats of Kanpur city and one assembly seat of Kanpur Dehat. This seat, which came into delimitation after 2009, was won by Raja Ram Pal of Congress in the first election, after which Devendra Singh of BJP has been winning this seat in the last two elections. Even though BJP has not won this seat, the party has remained at second position. Now it remains to be seen whether this Brahmin card of Mayawati will be able to give victory to BSP or not.
