CEC Rajiv Kumar Press Conference: Counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 will take place in the country tomorrow i.e. on June 4. Before the counting of votes, the Election Commission held a press conference today (June 3, 2024). Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar said during this, ‘We have created a world record of 642 million voters. This is 1.5 times the voters of all G7 countries and 2.5 times the voters of 27 EU countries.’

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar also answered the questions and complaints of the opposition in the press conference. Recently, the leaders of India Alliance met the officials of the Election Commission. During this, they raised three major demands. Regarding this, the Chief Election Commissioner said, ‘The Chief Election Commissioner said that we have accepted almost all the demands made by the opposition parties. This is nothing new, it has been happening before. Instructions have also been issued to all the election officials in this matter,’

Said this on the allegations of Jairam Ramesh

On Saturday (June 1), Congress leader Jaigharam Ramesh had alleged, ‘The Home Minister called the district collectors and Amit Shah They are threatening them. They have called 150 officials since Saturday morning.’ Reacting to his allegation, the Chief Election Commissioner said, ‘How is this possible? Can anyone influence them (DM/RO)? Tell us who did this, we will punish him. It is not right that you spread rumours and bring everyone under suspicion.’

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on June 4 Lok Sabha Elections Giving information about the counting process followed to declare the results, he said, “The entire counting process is completely robust. It works with the accuracy of a clock.”
