Lok Sabha Election 2024: After a long tussle in Bihar, the issue of seat sharing among the Indian alliance became clear. Under the agreement, out of 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state, RJD will contest 26, Congress 9 and Left parties will contest 5 seats. It is believed that many of the seats on which Congress could have performed better have gone to RJD.
Under the seat sharing formula, Congress will contest elections from Kishanganj, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, West Champaran, Patna Sahib, Sasaram, Maharajganj and Samastipur. Recently, TV9 Bharatvarsh had conducted a survey on all these seats. Congress may get a shock in this survey.
Congress got 2 seats in the survey
According to the survey, Congress can win Kishanganj and Katihar seats. However, Congress may have to face defeat on the remaining seats. According to the survey, JDU can win from Bhagalpur, BJP from Muzaffarpur, West Champaran, Patna Sahib, Sasaram and Maharajganj, while Samastipur seat can go to LJP (Ram Vilas).
Shock to India Alliance in Bihar
Out of 40 seats in the state, BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) can get 38 seats. Of these, BJP can win 17, JDU 15, LJP 5 and Hindustan Awam Morcha 1 seat, while Congress is likely to win 2 seats. RJD does not seem to be getting any seat in the survey.
Purnia seat in RJD’s account
Meanwhile, as soon as the seat distribution took place in Bihar, the game of many senior leaders has completely deteriorated. RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has kept Purnia with himself instead of giving it to Congress. Pappu Yadav has merged his party with Congress in order to contest elections from this seat. Not only this, Supaul seat has also gone to RJD’s account, from where Pappu Yadav’s wife Ranjita Ranjan has been MP in 2009.
Former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Shakeel Ahmed was preparing to contest elections from Madhubani Lok Sabha seat, but RJD kept this seat for itself. Apart from this, Aurangabad seat has gone to RJD, which has shocked veteran Congress leader Nikhil Kumar.
