Lok Sabha Election 2024 NDA Plan For 18 Percent Jat Votes RLD May Get 4 Seats

Lok Sabha Election 2023: Bharatiya Janata Party 2024 Lok Sabha Elections Before this, NDA is busy expanding the alliance. JDU has returned to NDA in Bihar. At the same time, BJP may have an alliance with Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh and Akali Dal in Punjab. It is almost certain that RLD will join NDA in UP. However, its official announcement is yet to be made. By associating RLD with itself, BJP is trying to attract 18 percent Jat votes of Western UP.

Jayant Chaudhary has a good hold among the Jat community in Western UP. Here, out of 27 Lok Sabha seats, BJP had won 19 seats in 2019. Whereas, SP got four seats and BSP got four seats. RLD could not win any seat.

Earlier in 2014 also, despite contesting elections on eight seats, Jayant’s party account was not opened. He has formed an alliance with Congress, BSP and SP, but could not win any seat. For this reason he has to think about joining BJP this time. Apart from this, the controversy regarding seat sharing with Akhilesh has also played an important role in this.

In 2019, NDA had won 64 out of 80 seats in UP. Of these, 62 went to BJP and 2 to Apna Dal. Whereas in 2014, NDA had got 73 seats. Of these, BJP had 71 seats. Now BJP is trying to increase NDA’s seats. For this reason the party is bringing RLD with itself.

BJP, which lost 7 seats in 2019, had a close victory in seats like Muzaffarnagar and Meerut. Bringing RLD along will make BJP’s path easier. If experts are to be believed, RLD may get four seats in the NDA alliance. This includes the seats of Kairana, Baghpat, Mathura and Amroha.
