Expansion

This time in the Lok Sabha elections, the number of voters in the state increased, the number of people who cast their votes also increased, but even after this the voting percentage remained low. The reason for this was that voting did not take place in proportion to the increase in voters.

According to the data released by the Election Commission on Sunday, there were 14,58,58,557 voters in the state in 2019. Whereas in 2024 this number increased by 82,45,113 to 15,41,03,670. At the same time, 15,02,385 voters voted more in 2024 as compared to 2019. Despite this, 2.19 percent fewer votes were cast in this election as compared to the last election. That is, the number of voters increased by 82,45,113, but only 15,02,385 more voters exercised their franchise as compared to last time. In 2019, 8,62,20,643 voters exercised their vote, while in 2024, 8,77,23,028 voters cast their votes.
