Lok Sabha Election 2024: Actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi has been made the candidate by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Thrissur seat in Kerala. He recently donated a gold crown to a church. There is now a controversy regarding this crown. In fact, a section has raised doubts over the amount of gold used in the crown. Due to this, the Parish Council of the Church has formed a special committee to investigate the crown donated to the Church.

Many parishioners suspect that the crown is made of gold-coated copper. According to the information, Gopi had offered this crown made of more than 500 grams of gold on the statue of Mother Mary at Our Lady of Lourdes Metropolitan Cathedral in Thrissur on January 15. The actor along with his wife and daughter had decorated the statue with a crown.

Crown offered before daughter’s marriage
This step of the actor is now being considered as a political ploy to woo the Christian vote bank and get a BJP ticket from Thrissur. It is noteworthy that on January 17, he met the Prime Minister at Sri Krishna Temple in Guruvayoor, Thrissur. The crown will be examined
