In the seventh phase, voting will be held in Patna Sahib and Patliputra Lok Sabha constituencies on June 1. This time not a single candidate from these two Lok Sabha constituencies withdrew his nomination. The last date for withdrawal of nominations was till May 17 only. Nomination papers were filed by 30 candidates in Patna Sahib and 24 in Patliputra. After scrutiny, now 17 candidates will contest elections in Patna Sahib and 22 in Patliputra.
Five candidates with criminal character including BJP, RJD
This time, nominations of 13 candidates were canceled in Patna Sahib and nominations of two candidates in Patliputra. The number of candidates accused of criminal cases in Pataliputra is not even one. The number of such candidatures in Patna Sahib is five. These include BJP candidate Ramkripal Yadav, RJD candidate Misa Bharti, Nitesh Kumar of Adarsh Kalyan Dal, Farooq Raza of AIMIM and Subhash Kumar of Bharatiya Lok Chetna Party. Criminal cases are registered against them. District Election Officer cum District Magistrate Shirshad Kapil Ashok and Patna SSP Rajeev Mishra jointly gave this information.

Patna DM said that voting will be held in Patna on June 1 from 7 am to 6 pm. 4290 polling stations have been set up in 2569 buildings. Counting of votes will be conducted at AN College on June 4. AN College has also been made Vajra Griha. After voting, all the EVMs will be kept in AN College.
