Lok Sabha election phase 7: The seventh and last phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is scheduled to be held on Saturday (June 1). In the seventh phase, people will vote in seven states Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab and one union territory Chandigarh. Apart from this, voting is also going to be held on the remaining 42 assembly seats in Odisha on Saturday.

More than 10 crore people will vote in the last phase

The election for the 18th Lok Sabha began on April 19 and will end on June 1. So far, voting has been held for 486 Lok Sabha seats in 28 states and union territories in six phases of elections. According to a report by news agency PTI, more than 10.06 crore voters will cast their votes in the final phase of elections, which includes about 5.24 crore men, 4.82 crore women and 3574 third gender voters.

Voting on how many seats in which state?

In the third phase of elections, voting will take place on 13 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, 13 in Punjab, six in Jharkhand, six in Odisha, four in Himachal Pradesh, nine in West Bengal, one in Bihar and Chandigarh.

People have their eyes on these VIP seats

During this time, there are many such VIP seats on which the whole country has its eyes. Prime Minister from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh Narendra Modi He is contesting the elections. Congress has given ticket to Ajay Rai against him, who has been contesting against PM Modi for the last two Lok Sabha elections.

Apart from this, everyone’s eyes will also be on BJP candidate Ravi Kishan from Gorakhpur seat. Kajal Nishad is contesting against him on Samajwadi Party ticket. BJP has given ticket to actress Kangana Ranaut from Mandi seat of Himachal Pradesh. A tough fight is expected on this seat, because Congress has given ticket to Vikramaditya Singh from here. This area is called the stronghold of Congress.

People will also be keeping an eye on Himachal’s Hamirpur seat, because Union Minister Anurag Thakur is contesting from here. He contested from Hamirpur seat in 2009, 2014 and 2019. Lok Sabha Elections He had won this seat in 2015. TMC party has fielded Abhishek Banerjee from Diamond Harbor Lok Sabha seat of West Bengal.

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder daughter Misa Bharti is contesting from Bihar’s Pataliputra Lok Sabha seat. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, veteran leader Ramkripal Yadav, who joined BJP from RJD, defeated Misa Bharti. After this, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections too, Ramkripal Yadav defeated Misa Bharti.
