The entire Lok Sabha elections in the country’s capital Delhi may revolve around the issue of ‘Modi vs Kejriwal’. After the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor scam, BJP and Aam Aadmi Party have started trying to connect people with them. After raising slogans against Delhi government and Arvind Kejriwal, BJP workers also burnt effigies of Kejriwal at many places.
Kejriwal has no right to be in power – BJP
After burning the effigy of Arvind Kejriwal at Ganesh Nagar Chowk in East Delhi, Delhi BJP Vice President Dinesh Pratap Singh told Amar Ujala that the Aam Aadmi Party government has no right to remain in power. He alleged that the Arvind Kejriwal government opened liquor shops at various places in Delhi and made the poor, youth and children of the capital drunken alcohol. With the opening of liquor shops at many places, it had become rare for sisters and daughters to leave the house. He said that such a government should resign.
Pandav Nagar Mandal BJP President Sohan Kumar told Amar Ujala that Arvind Kejriwal is the first Chief Minister in the history of the country who is adamant on not resigning even after going to jail. He said that BJP will force him to resign as it will be a matter of shame for the people of Delhi that a jailed person should serve as the Chief Minister and people will have to tell that their Chief Minister is in jail.
In these protests, BJP is also putting before the public the alleged irregularities in the Water Board, rigging in the construction of the Chief Minister’s residence, alleged scams in e-buses, health and education. If the investigation progresses on these issues also, then difficulties may increase for the Aam Aadmi Party leader.

At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party is considering the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal as a question of life and death. She knows that if Arvind Kejriwal remains in jail for a long time, it will not only affect his credibility but will also make it difficult to take the party forward. This may also become a question of existence for the party. This is why she is loudly calling it an attack by the central government on the opposition.
Aam Aadmi Party is raising this issue in the slums that efforts are being made to stop Kejriwal’s schemes by arresting him. This can have a sensitive impact on the poor people. Aam Aadmi Party is planning to campaign against the central government and BJP in Delhi. She is trying to tell among the public that BJP could not defeat her in the elections, hence she wants to capture the power of Delhi through unconstitutional means.
The effect of these campaigns being run by both sides may be that the entire election boils down to Modi versus Kejriwal. If this happens then the matter can be very interesting.
