Congress candidate Kishori Lal Sharma has expressed happiness on being declared the candidate from Amethi, the ancestral Lok Sabha seat of the Gandhi family. He said that I express my gratitude to the party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi for reposing their trust in a small worker like me.
He said that the people of Amethi are with us and we will achieve victory. The possibility of Rahul Gandhi contesting from Amethi seat was being expressed but everything became clear on Friday morning. Rahul Gandhi will contest from Rae Bareli seat. BJP has made Dinesh Singh its candidate on this seat.

Sonia Gandhi was the MP from Rae Bareli seat. Recently, Congress sent him to Rajya Sabha. Due to which Rae Bareli seat became vacant. Now Rahul Gandhi is the candidate on this seat.
Priyanka Gandhi may join KL Sharma’s nomination procession in Amethi.
