Every particle of Braj is a witness to the activities of Lord Krishna. Tulsi Ram Darshan Sthal of Vrindavan is a witness to one such leela. It is believed that here Shri Krishna took the form of Lord Ram and appeared to the great poet Tulsidas. Since then the name of this Shri Krishna temple became Tulsiram Darshan Sthal. Here Lord Ayodhyapati is seated in the form of Ram holding a bow and arrows.

In the book Braj Lok Sampada published by the Uttar Pradesh government, Umesh Chand Sharma, coordinator of Vrindavan Research Institute, had written an article on Gyan Gudri Temple. Umesh Chand tells that Tulsidas’s contemporary Avinash Brahm Bhatt had penned the character of Goswamiji under Tulsi Prakash Pothi. From this it is known that Goswamiji had come to Braj on Tuesday, Magh Shukla Panchami Tithi in Vikram Samvat 1628. While traveling to Braj, he had come to Tulsiram darshan place located at Gyan Gudri in Vrindavan. Hearing the chants of Radhe-Radhe everywhere here, Tulsidas felt that perhaps the people here do not have that much devotion towards Lord Ram. On this a couplet came out from the mouth of Tulsidas ‘Radha-Radha ratat hai, aam dhak aru kair’. In Tulsi or Brajbhoomi it is said that Ram has a hundred enemies. Today’s Varnau Image: You may have become a Lord, your head is full, your hands are full of bow and arrow.
