According to South Korean news agency Yonhap, there were 181 people on board the plane. Of these, there were 175 passengers and 6 crew members. This accident happened at the airport of south-western city of Muan. While landing, the Korean plane slipped on the runway and collided with the airport fence.

South Korean news agency Yonhap has confirmed the death of 28 people. According to the report, the Jeju Air plane was returning from Thailand and this accident happened at Muan International Airport. In the video that has surfaced of the accident, it can be seen that while landing, the plane slipped on the runway and there was a loud explosion. After this it turned into a ball of fire.
How did the accident happen?
According to Yonhap News, this accident happened due to the plane coming in contact with a bird. After hitting the bird, the landing gear of the plane malfunctioned, due to which the plane slipped during landing and collided with the fence.
Plane crash took place in Kazakhstan on 25 December
Earlier on December 25, an Azerbaijan Airlines plane had crashed near Aktau Airport in Kazakhstan. According to Azerbaijan Airlines, there were 62 passengers and 5 crew members present in the plane. Of these, only 28 people could be saved alive. President Vladimir Putin has apologized to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev for the plane crash that occurred in Russian airspace.
