Last Tuesday, 29 gold smugglers easily left the airport after picking up their partner (whom they said was ill) in front of the security personnel. No one even tried to stop them. This has been revealed by CCTV footage, which is pointing towards major collusion.
On April 1, flight 6E-1424 from Sharjah reached Amausi Airport. The team of Custom Department had detained 36 smugglers who came from here. Now in the CCTV footage that has surfaced, it is clearly visible that a smuggler made the excuse of being ill. After this, fellow smugglers picked him up and comfortably left the airport. During this time the security personnel did not even try to stop him. On the other hand, it was claimed in the FIR that when the security personnel tried to stop the smugglers, they left the place forcefully. At present nothing like this is visible in the footage.
A young man came forward, then stepped aside
The footage showed that when the smugglers came out after picking up their accomplice, a security personnel came in front of them and then stepped aside. The second security personnel was seen walking comfortably behind them. As per the claim made in the FIR, if the smugglers were running away with force then how were the customs officers and security personnel so relaxed. Why weren’t the smugglers caught? Now direct questions are being raised on the story of the customs officers.
Neither were seen shouting slogans nor threatening
The FIR claimed that the smugglers had fled. Since one smuggler had made an excuse, the others were walking a little faster while taking him away. However, they were not seen running away. Apart from this, he was neither seen shouting slogans nor making threats. It has been claimed in the FIR that the smugglers ran away shouting slogans and threatening.
Responsible people are stuck here
Customs department officials caught such a large number of smugglers, but did not inform CISF and police. When she saw her neck getting stuck, she delayed informing about the smugglers’ escape. The smugglers fled on the evening of April 2. The FIR was lodged at 12:16 pm on April 3. The whole game is hidden behind this delay and hiding of information.
Police sent notice again
The Customs Department has not yet officially shared the information with the police. The police now sent a notice to the officers for the second time on Monday. In this, along with recording the statement, it has been asked to provide information and evidence regarding the day of the incident.
