Actually, the police is doing its work as per the rules. The rule says that learning license is made only for getting training to drive a vehicle. With a learning license, you cannot drive a vehicle on a public place like road or park. If this is found, then challan is sure to be issued. Please note that any child of 16 years or more can drive a vehicle on the official website of the Ministry of Road and Transport. sarathi.parivahan.gov.in But one can apply for a learning license. But, one cannot drive a vehicle on the road with the learning license issued. This rule applies to adult applicants as well.

Under which law is the learning license made

If your child has turned 16, you can apply for a learning license. This information is given in the fourth point of Licensing of Drivers of Motor Vehicles in Chapter-2 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988. According to this, children of 16 years of age can also apply for a license. When the child turns 18, he can apply for a permanent driving license.

Which documents will be required

If you also want to apply for a learning driving license for a child below 18 years of age, then go to the official website of the Transport Department and select your state. After this, the learning license will appear in the first option. Fill in all the information asked along with age certificate, residence proof. Your child will get the learning license within a few days.

Lucknow Transport Commissioner CB Singh said, learning license should not be taken to mean that you are now free to drive on the road. Learning license is given to you to get training in driving. You can drive on the road only after the permanent license is issued after the driving test after a fixed period. He clarified that this rule applies to children of 16 years as well as applicants of 18 years or more. If you violate the rule, challan is sure to be issued.
