Preparations are underway to name the city’s new airport after Maharishi Valmiki, the author of Ramayana. According to sources, its name will be Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham. The first phase of this state-of-the-art airport has been completed at a cost of Rs 1450 crore.

Ayodhya Airport will be renamed as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham. It is noteworthy that a day before, the name of Ayodhya railway station was changed to Ayodhya Dham. It is said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had expressed his desire to name the station Ayodhya Dham. Only after this, the Railway Ministry changed the name of Ayodhya Junction to Ayodhya Dham Junction. Its order was issued on Wednesday.
A large number of special guests will come by chartered plane for the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22. More than 100 aircraft are expected to arrive in Ramnagari on this day. In such a situation, there may be a problem in landing them at Maryada Purushottam Shriram International Airport and the three helipads built so far. For this, the administration has started making alternative arrangements in Varanasi, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur also.
If the number of chartered planes increases, arrangements will be made to land them at the helipads of these three cities and bring the guests to Ramjanmabhoomi by road. Commissioner Gaurav Dayal said on Saturday that necessary arrangements are being made for this in coordination with the Airport Authority. Anyway, recently Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had told in the review meeting here that around 100 aircraft can arrive on January 22. In such a situation, the administration is considering all possibilities.
PM Modi will gift projects worth Rs 16 thousand crores
On December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will gift many big projects to Ayodhya including Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhya Dham, highway, railway station and doubling of railway lines. The list of PM’s inauguration and foundation stone laying includes projects worth about Rs 16 thousand crores. There is special focus on important projects related to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Four major roads will also be inaugurated. Some projects from other districts of the state have also been included.
