A major revelation has come out in the investigation of the fire brigade in the case of fire at Hotel Raj located in Hussainganj at around 1 am on Monday night. 32 people were trapped as there was no other way to exit the hotel. Apart from this, the hotel was running on a cancelled NOC for two years. The fire department has issued a notice to its operator. Further action will be taken after receiving the reply.
When the fire broke out in the hotel, the entire building was engulfed in smoke. The fire brigade took everyone out after about an hour of effort. Everyone is safe. The fire brigade team’s investigation revealed that the electric panel in the basement had caught fire. Since there was no other way to exit the hotel, people could not come out.
NOC was revoked in 2022
Hotel Levana caught fire on September 5, 2022. Four people died in the accident. CFO Mangesh Kumar said that in the investigation conducted after this accident, the NOC of Hotel Raj was canceled. Despite this, the hotel was not closed and continued to run without NOC. The responsible people also did not bother to take action against it. Not only this, even after Monday’s accident, the hotel remained open on Tuesday.
The fire was also caused due to these reasons
Safety audit was not conducted in the hotel. There was leakage in the pipe of LPG gas cylinder. There was a pile of junk. Negligence was shown in proper maintenance of equipment. All these reasons have come to light for the fire.
Firefighters rescued people from the stifling smoke
When the fire brigade team reached the hotel, the building was engulfed in suffocating smoke. People trapped inside were screaming. Many had come out of the window and were standing on the balcony and terrace. One fire brigade team brought them down using a ladder. The second team entered inside and brought everyone out safely. Om Prakash of Chhattisgarh, who was suffering from paralysis, was carried out by the fire brigade personnel. He was discharged after being admitted to the civil hospital for a few hours.

– On 19 June 2018, a fire broke out in SSJ International Hotel located in Charbagh. Hotel Virat also came under its grip. A total of seven people died in the accident.
– On 13 April 2022, a fire broke out in Hotel Sevi Grand located in Vibhutikhand, Gomtinagar. More than 100 people were trapped.
– On 05 September 2022, a fire broke out in Hotel Levana in Sultanganj area of Hazratganj. Four people were burnt to death.
– One person died in a fire at Best Biryani Hotel in Naka on 09 December 2022.
– On April 14, 2024, a fire broke out in Hotel Balaji Grand located in Charbagh.
