Mumbai. Single dad Tusshar Kapoor has not been able to impress the audience through any film for a long time. Now after the break, he has again entered the audience with the film ‘Maarrich’. The special thing is that Tusshar Kapoor is seen in a completely new style in this film. However, early trends are indicating that Marich is not understood by the people.
The film seems to solve a murder case. In the film, police officer Rajeev Dixit i.e. Tusshar Kapoor is trying to solve a murder mystery.
Story
The story of the film revolves around the murder mystery of police officer Rajeev Dixit and a model living in Mumbai and her friend. A model and her friend living in Mumbai get murdered. The more Rajeev tries to solve this case, the more complicated it becomes. When pressure comes on Rajeev from the media and seniors, he closes the case by proving a coconut seller guilty, but then the story turns back.
Acting: Ever since Tusshar Kapoor stepped into the acting world, his facial expressions remain the same in every character. He tries to immerse himself in the character but it is not visible on the screen. Something similar has happened in ‘Mareech’ as well. His robe in the role of a police officer is not shown on the screen. Tushar could not show the kind of style needed to make the character effective. There is nothing special for Naseeruddin Shah and Rahul Dev to do in the film.
Directing: Dhruv Lather has written and directed the story of the film. More work could have been done on the screenplay. The story seems disjointed and needlessly drawn. In a thriller movie, the audience does not feel anything like thrill. The directors seem unsuccessful in connecting the episodes of the film.
‘Marich’ can be called a boring category film. The story is unable to keep the audience engaged continuously.
