In order to tighten the noose against the mafia gang, the Commissionerate Police has started action again after the elections. Under this, action has been taken to open the history sheet of Abdul Samad alias Saddam and Zaid, brother-in-law of mafia Khalid Azim alias Ashraf. Now the activities of both of them will be constantly monitored.
Zaid is the eldest brother of Ashraf’s wife Zainab, while Saddam is the third brother. Both have a criminal history. Saddam is imprisoned in Bandayu jail while Zaid is still absconding. The last case against both was recently registered in Shahganj police station in which there are charges of extortion and criminal conspiracy.
A total of nine cases are registered against Saddam. Out of these, six cases are registered in Prayagraj and three in Bareilly. These include the gangster case registered in Bareilly. Apart from this, a total of six cases are registered against Zaid. The first case against Zaid was registered in 2009.
Zaid is a history lecturer and is posted as a lecturer in Sherwani Inter College, Sallapur. He is currently suspended. DCP Nagar Deepak Bhukar said that action has been taken to open a history sheet of both of them in view of their involvement in criminal activities. Now their activities will be monitored regularly by the police.
