Mahakumbh 2025: The grand celebration of Maha Kumbh Mela is going on in Prayagraj. On Tuesday, on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, about 3.50 crore devotees took a holy dip in the Sangam on the first Amrit Snan festival. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on this occasion Yogi Adityanath tweeted and said, “Hearty congratulations to all the saints, devotees and Kalpavasis who took the nectar bath in Mahakumbh-2025.” He congratulated all the administrative departments and employees for the success of the event.

The Railway Ministry has made special arrangements at nine major railway stations of Prayagraj for the convenience of the devotees. A ‘war room’ has been set up at Rail Bhawan in Delhi, where surveillance is being done through 24×7 cameras. This war room ensures live broadcast and passenger convenience at platform, station and zonal level. Railway Board Executive Director Dilip Kumar said that the highest level of monitoring is in New Delhi, where corrective steps are being taken immediately if needed.

Passenger services are being completely monitored at major stations like Prayagraj, Naini, Chhivaki, Phaphamau, and Rambagh. Special instructions have been given to officers and employees to resolve every situation promptly.
