Maharashtra Coronavirus Cases Update: After the arrival of 542 new cases of Kovid-19 in Maharashtra on Saturday, the number of people infected so far has increased to 81,49,141 and after the death of one person due to infection, the total death toll has increased to 1,48,458. An official of the State Health Department gave this information. On Friday, 926 cases of Kovid-19 were reported in the state and three people died due to the infection.
The official said that during the last 24 hours, 668 patients recovered from the infection and with this the number of people recovering from the infection has increased to 79,96,323. The number of patients under treatment in the state is 4,360. According to the Bulletin of the Health Department, 207 cases of infection were found in Mumbai on Saturday. This is the fifth consecutive day when more than 200 cases of infection were reported in the city.

One person died in Amravati city
According to the information, one person died in Amravati city due to infection in the last 24 hours. According to the data of the state health department, the rate of recovery from infection is 98.12 percent and the death rate is 1.82 percent. Three people died of corona in Maharashtra on Friday (April 7). The three patients who died of infection were residents of Gondia, Kolhapur and Raigad.
Screening of international passengers at the airport
In view of increasing corona cases in the state, screening of passengers coming from abroad is being done at all the airports of the state. This screening is being done at Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune airports since December 24 last year. Along with Maharashtra, the cases of corona are increasing continuously in the whole country. In the last 24 hours, the number of patients under treatment in the state is 4,360.
