In Sirsikalan village of Khanna police station, the priest of Hanuman temple was beaten to death with sticks for refusing to give beedi. On information, police reached the spot and investigated. Three police teams have been formed to arrest the accused. Gopaldas (55), a resident of Sirsikalan, was a priest in the Hanuman temple located outside the village. Late on Wednesday evening, he was lying in a hut built near the temple. Then some people reached there and started asking for beedis. An altercation broke out between both the parties when the beedi was refused. Angered by this, the bullies attacked the priest with sticks.
