Benefits are being taken from fake documents
Under the Maharashtra government’s Manjhi Ladki Behan Yojana, only women are given benefits. But fraud related to the schemes has also come to light in Maharashtra. Many men have registered as applicants in the scheme by creating women’s IDs. So far, a very large number of benefit forms have been submitted under the scheme.
Men had applied. As soon as the department came to know about this, all such applications were cancelled. During the verification process, these applications were cancelled after checking them. These people uploaded their Aadhaar card and filled the guarantee form in their name but they put a woman’s photo in their place on the portal.
