Authentic dhaba style aloo paratha recipe: In the winter season, getting up early in the morning, going to the kitchen and preparing breakfast for the family seems to be quite a challenging task. But when it comes to an easy and tasty breakfast, it is fun to prepare as well as to serve. One such simple recipe is Punjabi Style Aloo Paratha. Yes, it is not only easy to make, it is also delicious. It also helps in keeping us full of energy throughout the day. Not only this, people of all ages like to eat it. Material-
Flour – 2 cups
Boiled potatoes – 3-4 (medium sized)
Green chilli – 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger – 1 inch piece (grated)
Green Coriander – 2 tbsp (chopped)
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
salt to taste
Ghee/Oil – for baking paratha

Method- First of all, add some salt and ghee to the flour and knead it into a soft dough with lukewarm water. Knead the dough well and keep it covered aside for 15 minutes. To prepare potato stuffing, peel the boiled potatoes and mash them well. Now add green chilli, grated ginger, green coriander, garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well. This potato masala is ready. You can also add finely chopped onion and coriander leaves to it.

Now we have to roll the paratha. For this, make small balls from the kneaded dough. Take a ball and roll it lightly with a rolling pin and put the potato stuffing in the middle. Then gather the corners of the dough and close the stuffing well and then roll it with a rolling pin to make paratha.

Heat the pan well and put the paratha on the pan. Now after baking from one side, apply ghee or oil and turn it. Now apply ghee on the other side also and cook it well. Take out the paratha in a plate until it becomes crispy and golden from both the sides.

Hot Dhaba Style Punjabi Aloo Paratha is ready. Serve it with curd, pickle or your favorite chutney and enjoy the flavours. Use of fresh ghee helps in giving dhaba style taste to the paratha.
