Alsi Laddu: There is a need to take care of food and health in winter. Today we will tell you about a special recipe of laddu and dal of Uttarakhand, which is very beneficial for children and elderly people. Along with taste, these laddus are also beneficial for health.

Saras Food Festival has been organized near Kharak Singh Marg of Connaught Place, Delhi. Where famous dishes of all the states of India are available to eat. Some women from Uttarakhand have set up their stalls in this food festival. One of these women, Pooja Tomar, while talking to the team of Local 18, told that she prepares different delicious dishes from the grains of Uttarakhand and feeds them to the people. There is a whole group of women in their village, where they make and sell all the goods. She is earning lakhs by selling these laddus.

Know the specialty of these laddus and dal pakodas
Pooja told that she has prepared linseed laddus from Mandve. Eating these laddus in cold is very beneficial for health. Consuming these strengthens bones. Immunity power increases and also helps in protecting from cold related diseases. Diabetic patients can also eat these laddus. Gahat dal pakoda is also available at this stall. Which along with giving taste, works to cure even the oldest stones in the stomach.

How are these healthy laddus made?
Pooja told that to make this laddu, you need madva flour, wheat flour, flaxseed powder, basil leaves, nutmeg, mace, cinnamon, rose leaves, walnuts, almonds, all dry fruits like makhana. These laddus are prepared by grinding all the ingredients and adding jaggery and pure ghee to it.
