Ingredients to make Lahori Potato
Potatoes boiled – 8-10
Tomato pulp – 1/2 cup
Onion finely chopped – 1/2 cup
Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tsp
Milk – 3/4 cup
Green coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
Bay leaves – 2-3
Poppy seeds – 1 tbsp
Fennel – 1 tbsp
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Black pepper – 1 tsp
Coconut Pumpkin (dry) – 2 tbsp
Mace – 1
Cloves – 4-5
Cumin – 1 tsp
Coriander seeds – 2 tsp
Kashmir red chili dry – 7-8
Oil – 2 tbsp
salt – as per taste
Lahori Potato Recipe
To make Lahori Potato, first boil the potato and after peeling it, cut each potato into 2 pieces. Now pour oil in a nonstick pan and heat it. After the oil is hot, add chopped potatoes and a little salt, mix well and fry on medium flame for 3-4 minutes. After this, take out the fried potatoes from the pan and keep them separately in a bowl.
Now put oil again in the pan and add finely chopped onions and bay leaves and fry them. After roasting for some time, when the onion becomes soft, mix ginger-garlic paste in it and cook for at least 1 minute. Then add tomato pulp and salt as per taste and cook for 2 minutes. After this add fried potatoes and milk to this mixture and mix and let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes while stirring.
Now cover the pan and cook the vegetable on low flame for 4-5 minutes. Keep stirring the vegetable with the help of a ladle in between. After this, turn off the gas and remove the lid from the pan and garnish with green coriander leaves. Tasty Lahori potato curry is ready. It can be served in lunch or dinner.
