Semolina – 1 cup
Curd – 1/4 cup
Rai – 1/2 tsp
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal – 1 tsp
Cashew pieces – 1 tbsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Curry leaves – 7-8
Green chili chopped – 1 tsp
Green coriander chopped – 2 tbsp
Fruit salt – 3/4 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
salt – as per taste

Semolina Idli Recipe
If you want to make semolina idli for breakfast, then put semolina in a utensil. Now add curd and a cup of water to it and mix. After this add finely chopped green coriander and salt as per taste to the mixture and mix. Now cover the prepared batter for 10 minutes and keep it aside. Now put oil in a nonstick pan and heat it. After the oil becomes hot, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and splutter them. After a few seconds, add curry leaves, cashew pieces, chopped green chilies and asafoetida and fry for 1 minute.

Now pour the prepared tempering over the semolina batter and mix it well. After this add fruit salt to the solution and mix slowly. Now take idli mold and apply some oil in all. After this pour the semolina idli batter in the mold and steam it for 10 minutes. After this check whether the idli is cooked properly or not. After cooking semolina idli, turn off the gas and take out the semolina idli from the mold. Now serve ready semolina idli with sambar and chutney.
