Ghevar sweets are made in Rajasthan only on the occasion of Sawan Teej. This sweet is made by frying it in desi ghee. It is a round and porous sweet, which is fried on a pan. The sweetness and crispy texture of Ghevar makes it very tasty. You can easily make this Ghevar sweet at home too.

Ingredients required for Ghevar
To make Ghevar sweet at home you need 1 cup stamps, 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp ghee, 1/2 cup water as required, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp cardamom powder, a pinch of salt and colour if desired (only for decoration).

Method for making Ghevar
Confectioner Prakash Rajpurohit told that to make Ghevar sweet, first of all put flour, then ghee, and salt in a big vessel, slowly add water and prepare a thin batter. Keep in mind that the batter should not be too thick. Beat the batter well so that there are no lumps in it. After this, heat ghee in a deep pan. Then put a little batter in a small bowl and put it in hot ghee (make sure that the batter spreads in a uniform round shape). After putting it in ghee, the batter will start bursting around and a thick-circled Ghevar shape will be formed. Fry it till it becomes golden.

Method of making syrup
After this, to make the syrup of Ghevar, add 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a pan, heat it on medium flame and let the sugar dissolve completely. After this, dip the fried Ghevar in the syrup for a few seconds, then take it out and let it cool. After this, if you want, you can serve it by garnishing it with cardamom powder or chopped nuts.
