This year, subsidy will be given for 25 acres for Makhana seed production. Farmers will be made to produce seeds under the supervision of scientists. Farmers will be given 75 percent subsidy on the cost price. Once the seeds are ready, the Agriculture Department will provide high quality seeds under the Makhana Seed Subsidy Scheme for 312 hectares of Makhana cultivation.
