Manisha Koirala started her career in the Nepali film industry. In the 90s, Manisha Koirala was one of the well-known actresses of Bollywood. In 1992, Manisha entered Bollywood with the film ‘Saudagar’ and her song ‘Ilu-Ilu Kya Hai’ in this film is still a favorite of the fans.
Manisha, who became famous as Ilu-Ilu girl, never looked back after this film. After this, she played important roles in great films like ‘Bombay’, ‘Gupt’ and ‘Khamoshi’. Her work in the film Dil Se and Mann was well-liked. But after some time, her charm started to wane and the films flopped, after which she slowly moved towards depression.
Due to not getting the desired results in her career, Manisha Koirala started turning towards alcohol and slowly her addiction ruined her career. After this, big producers started backing out from working with her and the rest of her work also went waste. After which Manisha was shattered.
In the year 2002, Manisha Koirala’s career was at a standstill and she had no work. In such a situation, Shashilal Nair offered her a film. In the story of this film, a young boy falls madly in love with an older woman.
This film was ‘Ek Choti Si Love’ Story. Manisha Koirala signed the film thinking that she should at least do some work.
The shooting of the film was over and when Manisha saw its final print, she was shocked. Actually, in this film, the director had filmed many bold and hot scenes with Manisha’s body double. Seeing this, Manisha started feeling that her image was in danger. She felt that she did not even do these scenes and she would be defamed in the industry.
After this, she went to court to save her image. However, the release of the film was not stopped and contrary to Manisha’s thinking, people praised her work in this film.
