Manasi is an Indian actress, singer, producer and content creator. She started her journey in showbiz from television and ventured into films. Apart from acting, she has also ventured into production and is the producer of Kutch Express.
Manasi Parekh was born on 10 July 1986 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Her family is culturally rich, due to which Manasi started singing and dancing since childhood. With the support of the family, Manasi also started learning Indian classical dance and theater. She studied English Literature at St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, during which she regularly participated in cultural events and stage performances.
Then Manasi took a step forward and turned to the small screen. She started her showbiz journey with supporting roles in television. Manasi soon gained popularity. She was also a part of famous shows like Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi in 2004 and Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Saath Phere: Saloni Ka Safar in 2005.
Mansi played her first lead role as ‘Chandni’ in India Calling and then she became a household name. After this, Mansi worked in Gulaal in 2010-2011 and Sumit Sambhal Lega in 2015. Despite the different nature of her shows and characters, Mansi left no stone unturned to bring life to each of her roles. Her shows of different genres were hits.
Along with TV shows, Manasi also continued to do theatre. She was seen as ‘Heli’ in Maro Piyu Gayo Rangoon in 2012-2014.
Manasi also sings. She participated in the reality singing competition, Star Aur Rockstar in 2011 and competed with many other TV celebs. Manasi won this competition.
She has since performed at several cultural events. Manasi was also a contestant on Kitchen Champion 5 in 2019 along with Juhi Parmar.
Along with her TV career, Manasi also made her mark in films. She made her debut with the 2011 film Yeh Kaisi Life. She played a small but impressive role in Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike, which further increased her popularity.
Manasi then made her Gujarati film debut with the comedy-drama, Golkeri, and went on to prove her acting prowess in films like Dear Father, Kutch Express Badhaai Ho, Itta Kitta and Jhamkudi.
His films have done well and his last Gujarati film, Jhamkudi, was a big commercial hit.
Manasi is also making a splash on OTT. The actress made her OTT debut with the 2017 web series Bin Bulaye Mehmaan and continued it with The Right Time, and Truth or Dare. Manasi also started her own chat show, Supermoms with Manasi, on her Facebook page. Her most famous OTT project has been the MX Player Original, Do Not Disturb in 2019. She also co-produced it and proved her acting prowess in the drama series.
Talking about Manasi Parekh’s personal life, the actress is married to Parthiv Gohil. Parthiv is a famous Gujarati singer and musician. The couple has a daughter Nirvi, who was born in 2016.
