Manu Bhaker started crying
Manu Bhaker made her Olympic debut at the age of 18 during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. At that time, she could not even make it to the top-10 due to a technical fault in the pistol. The situation was such that Manu started crying due to poor performance. Recalling that bad phase, Manu said – To be honest, I have very bad memories related to the Tokyo Olympics. I wonder why this happened to me? What did I do wrong?
I had to move on in life
It took a long time for Manu Bhaker to leave behind the bad memories of the Tokyo Olympics. She said, “I believe that we all should forget some situations, especially when things are not in our hands. We cannot change history. What happened before was not good, but I had to find a way to move forward in my life.”
Do your work, don’t worry about the results
22-year-old Manu Bhaker recites Bhagavad Gita, one verse of which influences her a lot. After winning the medal, she said, “When I recite Bhagavad Gita, the only thing going on in my mind was, ‘Just do what you have come here to do. You cannot control destiny. In Gita, Lord Shri Krishna tells Arjun, ‘Do your duty, do not worry about the result.’ This was going on in my mind too.”
