Around 960 trains are being run for the Kumbh Mela, out of which trains from Delhi-Howrah, Jhansi, Lucknow routes are included. On behalf of North Central Railway, there should be no crowd at Prayagraj station, for which temporary stoppage of trains is being given at Subedarganj, Manoharganj, Chhivki, Naini stations. Central station falls on Delhi and Howrah route.
To reduce the load on it, special trains will pass through Govindpuri station. The facilities are being increased here. There is emphasis on washing lines, so that water can be supplied to the trains. The main building is also being prepared. ACM Santosh Kumar Tripathi told that many trains for Kumbh Mela will go from Govindpuri station. Some will also stop at Panki station. The list of trains is being released from the headquarters.
