While talking to Local 18, the shop owner Hema said that her shop is about 25 years old. She has been doing business of peda for the last two and a half decades. Hema said that two types of peda are available at her shop – brown and white. The price of brown peda is Rs 400 per kilogram, while the price of white peda is Rs 440 per kilogram.

How are pedas made for fasting?
Shop owner Hema told about the process of making pedas that it takes about 1 hour to make one peda. First of all, mawa made from milk is brought. Mawa is cooked in a pan on low flame and then left to cool. When the mawa cools down, it is taken out of the pan and placed in a tray. After this, sugar and pistachios are added to the mawa. After this process, white pedas are prepared, which are specially made for fasting. People who observe fast can also consume this peda.
