Mathura GRP has arrested 25 thousand prize crook Manish Tonta from Railway Station Road, who targeted women in moving trains. The gold mangalsutra looted from the female passenger has been recovered from the accused. He was absconding for the last three months after the incident.
GRP police station conducted an investigation campaign on Thursday for prevention of criminal incidents and arrest of the wanted in Mathura Junction railway station area. Meanwhile, the GRP arrested Manish Tont alias Vicky’s son Umesh Singh, resident of Tarapur police station area of Munger, Bihar, from Railway Station Road. Tonta had carried out the incident of robbery from a female passenger in Sampark Kranti Express at Billochpura in Agra four months back. During that time the police had arrested his fellow miscreants Pradeep Sindhi, Javed Ali, Shivam Katara, Satyaprakash and Salman. While Tonta was absconding after the incident. On his arrest, the GRP announced a reward of Rs 25,000 and started the search with enthusiasm. Superintendent of Police Railway Mohammad Mushtaq said that special investigation campaigns are being conducted in the police stations to curb criminal incidents and arrest the wanted. Meanwhile, Manish Tonta, carrying a reward of Rs 25,000, has been arrested.
