National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi said on Friday that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested by Delhi Police in the liquor scam case. Protests have started in his support in Delhi and some other places. Muslims are also participating in this by wearing caps. Maulana appealed and said that Muslims should not participate in such protests and should keep distance from such programs.
Maulana said that the religion of Islam has declared alcohol as haram and illegitimate. Islam has strictly prohibited its followers from drinking, consuming, trading, buying and selling of alcohol in every way. If any Muslim participates in the protest and demonstration in support of Arvind Kejriwal, then he will be considered involved in promoting illegitimate activities. Any Muslim who participates will be a criminal in the eyes of Shariat, hence stay away from the protest.
Maulana said that the holy month of Ramzan is going on, God has called this month as his month. The month of Ramadan is for the worship of God. The worship done in this month gets double the reward, hence stay away from any kind of protest and remain engaged in worshiping God. Perform Roza and Namaz with restrictions and pay attention to your family. These protests are political, Muslims are not going to get any benefit from this.
