BSP National President Mayawati has welcomed the introduction of One Nation-One Election Bill by the Central Government. He said that holding simultaneous elections will put less burden on BSP. Public welfare work will not be affected much if election code of conduct is not implemented soon. It is not right to do politics under the cover of this issue. All parties should rise above party politics and work in the interest of the country and the public.

In a statement issued on Sunday, he said that in the special discussion on the Constitution in the Parliament, the old allegations and counter-accusations between the Congress and the BJP and narrow politics like you are more guilty than us, are more visible. In the matter of giving respect to the Constitution and its creator Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the ruling parties have tried to fail it through their narrow thinking and casteist politics. This situation is sad for the country and unfortunate for the future of the people.

The ruling parties should accept that if they had acted with honesty and patriotism in implementing the Constitution properly, the condition of the country would not have been so bad today. Due to lack of employment, about 80 crore people do not have to depend on a little government food grains to satisfy their hunger.

SP-Congress alike on reservation issue

Listening to the government and the opposition in this discussion, it seems that they have politicized the Constitution in their own interest. Someone is putting a copy of the Constitution on their forehead and someone is showing it with it in their hand. Under the guise of this, important issues of country and public interest are being sidelined. Congress and SP have said absurd things regarding reservation.

It would have been better if both the parties had remained silent on this issue in Parliament. With the connivance of Congress, SP had torn and thrown the amendment bill related to reservation in promotion in Parliament. BJP is also in no mood to pass it. Leader of the opposition party in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi has already announced that reservation will be abolished when the right time comes.
