MCD Mayor Election Mayor Will Be Of BJP Claims The Party AAP Said Follow The Agenda Ann | ‘Mayor will belong to BJP’, claims party, says AAP

MCD Mayor Election: Election of Mayor, Deputy Mayor and 6 members of the Standing Committee is to be held for MCD in Delhi on January 24. Everyone’s eyes are fixed on this election which is going on in controversies for a long time. In fact, earlier on January 6, the mayor’s election was to be held, but due to the huge uproar and sabotage that took place during this time, the election could not even take place even the oath of the councilors.

This is the reason that this time again when the date of election is near, people are forced to think whether the election of Mayor in Delhi will be held in a peaceful manner or not. However, this time the corporation and all the political parties have geared up for the mayoral election. Especially AAP and BJP have decided to complete the election process this time under any circumstances. Both the parties are of the opinion that this time Delhi should get mayor and deputy mayor.

Nominated councilors will be sworn in after the elected councilor

This is the reason why both AAP and BJP are talking about following the agenda issued by the corporation. In fact, before the elections, the MCD has issued a work list for the proceedings of the house, according to which the elected councilors will first take oath and then the nominated councilors will take oath. After the oath, the election of mayor, deputy mayor and 6 standing committee members is to be held.

Both the parties are talking about following this agenda also because last time the oath was first administered to the councilors nominated by the presiding officer Satya Sharma other than this agenda, after which there was a lot of uproar and clash between AAP and BJP. This uproar had increased to such an extent that the proceedings of the House had to be adjourned without oath and mayor election. But now when these elections are being held on the new date, AAP and BJP seem confident about this election that this time the election process will definitely be completed.

The House of MCD has been called once again on 24 January

On this issue, AAP’s Municipal Corporation in-charge Durgesh Pathak said that the MCD House has been called once again on 24th January. In this, along with the election of mayor, deputy mayor and standing committee, there will be oath of councilors. MCD has also issued an agenda for this and Aam Aadmi Party is completely in agreement with it. Durgesh Pathak said that if elections are held according to the constitution, then we are completely in agreement. Tomorrow all the corporators will go to the house and participate in it.

During this, Durgesh Pathak also appealed to BJP and said that BJP should also accept this agenda and respect it. We assure the people of Delhi that AAP will definitely follow this agenda. It is clearly written that first the elected councilors and then the nominated councilors will be sworn in and then the mayor, deputy mayor and 6 members of the standing committee will be elected.

Claim- Mayor will be of BJP only

However, while on the one hand the Aam Aadmi Party is appealing to the BJP to follow the task list for the mayoral election, on the other hand, the BJP is claiming that the mayor will be of the BJP only. On this, Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana said that we also want the proceedings of the House to be according to the agenda so that the Municipal Corporation can get a new mayor and deputy mayor.

However, during this, Harish Khurana also claimed that BJP will win the mayor and the rest of the elections and this time also the mayor will be of BJP. This claim of BJP is also beyond understanding because according to the figures, Aam Aadmi Party currently has absolute majority in the mayoral elections and BJP seems to be standing far away from the required figures.

According to BJP’s claim, there can be a big game too.

But during this time it cannot be denied that according to BJP’s claim, there can be a big game in this election. That is because the anti-defection law is not applicable in the Municipal Corporation and in such a situation, if the BJP is successful in gathering numbers for the elections, it can also make its mayor and deputy mayor. Between this big claim of BJP and the appeal of Aam Aadmi Party, everyone’s eyes are currently fixed on the mayoral election to be held tomorrow.

However, keeping in mind the uproar and sabotage that took place last time, this time more preparations have been made to run the house than before. This time, additional deployment of marshals and Delhi Police personnel will be done during the mayoral elections, so that the councilors who create ruckus can be thrown out of the house immediately. This is so that the proceedings and elections of the House can be completed in a peaceful manner. The proceedings of the House will start on January 24 at 11 am at the corporation headquarters. During this, the entire proceedings of the House will also be monitored.
