To solve the biggest problem of Varanasi city, sewer, it was decided in the Municipal Corporation Executive meeting that 350 workers will be appointed in 100 wards. Three sewer cleaning workers will be deployed in every ward and one supervisor in two wards. For this, recruitment will be done through outsourcing.
The executive committee meeting was held in the Municipal Corporation on Friday under the chairmanship of Mayor Ashok Kumar Tiwari. In this, all the executive members welcomed the newly elected Deputy Chairman Narsingh Das.
In the meeting, executive member SP councilor Amardev Yadav sought information about the implementation of the works passed by the committee earlier. On this, Joint City Commissioner Krishnachand said that all the information will be collected by July 24 and presented to the executive committee.
The mayor asked about the earlier instructions to get the vehicles repaired from an authorized company. Transport Officer Executive Engineer AK Saxena said that the tender process is being done.
Deputy Chairman Narsingh Das raised the issue of not garlanding the statues of great men installed in the city. Municipal Commissioner Akshat Verma said that garlands are being offered, but there is no continuity. Executive member Rajesh Yadav (Challu) said that the heritage pole attached to the Hriday Yojana is damaged. On this, Executive Engineer AK Saxena said that the damaged heritage pole is being repaired.
