A mechanical engineer and foreman fell down when the man-lifter’s rope malfunctioned during inspection at the under-construction Haiderpur Metro station site. Both fell from a height of about 60 to 70 feet. Both were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared the engineer dead. The injured foreman is undergoing treatment.
The deceased engineer has been identified as Aditya Prakash. Meanwhile, the name of the injured foreman is Mohammad Sahib. Mahindra Park police station has registered a case of death due to negligence. The police have handed over the body to the family and are investigating the matter. The police officer said that the incident took place on November 20.
