Meity Bharat will take approval of Rs 10,000 crore from the Cabinet for AI program: Rajeev Chandrashekhar.


Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajiv Chandrashekhar informed on Tuesday that the Ministry of Electronics and IT will take approval of Rs 10,000 crore from the Cabinet for the Bharat AI program. With this money, GPU based servers will be installed in PPP model. The Minister of State informed that the Bharat AI program will be in PPP mode under which computer infrastructure capacity will be created in private data centers as well as data centers run by the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). 

At the inauguration of America-based Synopsys Chip Design Center in Noida, he also told that India’s AI program is worth Rs 10,000 crore for which approval will be taken from the Cabinet.    

More than 6,000 people will get jobs 

Minister of State for IT, Rajiv Chandrashekhar yesterday inaugurated a Semiconductor Chip Design Center by Synopsis at DLF Tech Park, Noida. Let us tell you, this is the second largest chip design center of Synopsis in India in which more than 6,000 people will get jobs and this is 27 percent of the company’s global design workforce.

This partnership is very important in the field of semiconductor   

The Union Minister also said that partnerships with companies like Synopsis are the foundation of India’s ambitions in semiconductors. He said that the rapid innovations being done by Synopsys are in many ways driving the overall innovation of our technological and digital ecosystem. The Union Minister of State for Electronics said that he is confident that a company like Synopsis will emerge as an important player in shaping the future of technology. Along with this, he also said that the government is focusing on building capabilities, aiming to be at the forefront in designing chips, devices and products.
