Mental maths quiz competitions will make you mentally better: Sisodia

New Delhi. Competitions like Mental Maths Quiz in Delhi Government Schools will enhance the confidence of the students and make them mentally better. While the positive environment for learning mathematics in government schools was unimaginable earlier, but now students and teachers have made it a reality. For this reason, now Delhi government schools are not competing with private schools or other schools of the country, but with the schools of the world. This claim was made by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia while awarding the winners of State Level Mental Math Competition 2022-23 at Dr. BR Ambedkar School of Specialized Excellence, Rohini Sector-11.
The Deputy Chief Minister exhorted the students to participate more and more in such competitions. He said that he was amazed to see the mathematical and logical skills of the students of Delhi government schools. The Mental Math Competition organized by the Directorate of Education is a very innovative step towards inculcating the habit of calculating in the mind without any calculator. This will make students more prepared, confident and mentally fit.
He said that like other subjects like English, Hindi and History, Mathematics is equally entertaining and such competitions make it more fun. Students are often intimidated by maths. There are also a large number of students who do not dread it but enjoy it. He said that such competitions are very important for the all round development of the children. This will help the students to overcome the fear of maths.
