Michael Lotito: Many humans on earth are known for strange reasons. Due to their unique exploits, the names of many people are also recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. Michel Lotito, a resident of France, was also one such person. He was known for eating strange things. He was such an unusual person that the entire airplane was eaten up. Yes, you may not believe it, but it is absolutely true.

Michel Lotito was born on 15 June 1950 in Grenoble, France. He started eating unusual things from the age of 16. In medical language, his disease is called Pica. In this disease, people are unable to digest human food, whereas they can easily digest unusual things. In the beginning, Lotito used to eat from his nails to pieces of glass and easily digested them.

According to reports, Lotito could not digest normal things like bananas, boiled eggs or bread, but he could easily digest any metal thing. Of course, people around the world found it strange to do so, but Lotito used it correctly. In 1966, he started performing it and people used to buy tickets to see him doing all this.

Lotito ate many things from bed to bicycle, television set, computer and metal while sitting in front of people. To eat things made of metal, he used to first cut them into small pieces and then eat them with equal quantity of water and mineral oil. He used to do this because it lubricated his throat and made it easier to swallow metal things.

According to doctors, a thick protective layer had formed in the intestines of Lotito’s stomach, which is not present in normal humans. Lotito’s name spread all over the world when in 1978 he ate a Cessna 150 airplane completely in just two years i.e. till 1980. According to an estimate, from 1959 to 1997, Michel Lotito had consumed about nine tonnes of the metal. Lotito died of natural causes on 25 June 2007 at the age of 57.
