If someone has someone’s private video and leaks it. So this is a violation of the right to privacy. In such a situation, the person is found guilty of violating physical privacy under Section 66E of the Information Technology Act, 2000 i.e. IT Act. If someone has taken a photo or video of someone without their permission or consent. It was leaked later. So a case can be registered under these sections. In which there can be a jail term up to 3 years and a fine up to Rs 2 lakh and both.
