Minister of State Pratibha Shukla called the CUG number of Barra police station in-charge six times on Sunday for not taking action in the case of beating of a BJP worker over a land dispute in Barra area. When the police station officer did not pick up the phone, she reached the police station. After receiving the information, ADCP reached South Police Station and assured of arrest. The minister was pacified by asking the ACP to investigate the negligence of the police station officer.

Jarauli resident Mahesh Tiwari told that his relative had bought the plot from Vikas Pal, who works in property. ADCP South Mahesh Kumar said that CCTV cameras will be checked regarding the case of not listening to the victim. The investigation has been handed over to ACP Naubasta. Action will be taken on the basis of the investigation report. The victim has been asked to file an immediate report and take action.
