Regarding the matter of cutting 1100 trees in Delhi’s Ridge area, Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said, “LG sahab, I am inviting you in front of the media. Come and debate with me. Don’t hide.” AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said, “The DDA contractor has given an email in his affidavit to the Supreme Court, in which it is clearly written that the trees will be cut on the instructions of the Lieutenant Governor. On February 13, when the trees were being cut, the forest department officials stopped the cutting of trees, but on February 14, the trees were cut without permission.”
He said, ‘The Forest Department, DDA and the Lieutenant Governor knew that there was no permission, yet they got the trees cut. These evidences are exposing the BJP and the Lieutenant Governor today that they are conspiring in Delhi on how to play with the health of the people of Delhi, how to increase pollution… I am inviting the Lieutenant Governor to come and have an open debate on this issue in front of the public so that people know the truth.’
On Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), Delhi government minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “It has been proved that what all the ruling and opposition parties were saying was correct… the central government itself was oppressing all the central government employees.” The way the central government employees voted against the BJP, it has made the BJP come to its senses to some extent and I think they (BJP) will take back their other decisions soon as well.”
